Reconstruction of the STEEL ARENA with a Liebherr crane

At the beginning of May, the largest investment since its opening in 2006 began in the Steel arena. The work to reduce the energy demand of this multifunctional hall is in full swing.

One of these actions is the repair of the roof cladding – the so-called skylight. The works will solve the current emergency state of the skylight, problems with inflowing rainwater, and significantly reduce energy and heat costs.

A Liebherr 130EC-B 6 FR.tronic tower crane from our fleet was used to reconstruct the skylight. It is built on a foundation cross with central loads at a height under the hook of 45 meters and a boom 60 meters long.
