Students of Civil Engineering Faculty Bratislava in Kranimex excursion
On 07.11.2012 was carried excursion of Civil Engineering Facultystudents in the company Kranimex Ltd. Bratislava, in which they camediscuss their proposals for tower cranes with employees of the company. Together theyanalyzed the deployment of the cranes, their number, foundation methods, heightarrangement and proposed types. Then they could with accompanying commentaryof specialist take a look at each of the cranes actual size. Finally, students get prospects of particular types of Liebherr cranes to help them in solving their tasks, as well as gain additional knowledge about process of assembly, use and dismantling of the cranes.
Providing quality higher education requires a close link between University and practice. Lectures on the faculty of
theoretical knowledge are therefore oftensupplemented by examples of good practice, teaching techniques enables high-quality presentation photos and videos,
on some of the lectures used anaglyphs – imageswhich, when viewed through special glasses appear as 3D space and allowlecture to get a sense of direct contact with the building site. However, even modernteaching methods will not replace real contact with the building, and so faculty regularlyorganizes excursions and professional experience in the building organizations. Such visitsare good addition to teaching and help to develop skills and creativity of thestudents. Company Kranimex Ltd. Bratislava is one of the companies which provide such excursions together with the faculty for several years, helping to prepare students for their future work in the construction industry.
